I will call upon a rare pokemon called Triple Steal to help give you tips on playing timber

I think you might want to put 2 lvl on your reactive armor frst early game. You literally no need to go back to base at all unless enemy team have magic spammer but in that case just buy magic wand.

if lane is okish and you are not forced to jungle, you put two (sometimes 3) points into reactive armor; if u know u cant be killed and you are not planning to leave the lane soon - skip chain. otherwise, put at least 1 point into it. default starting build is smthng like stout/tango/mango/salve/branch, but u can sometimes change it (like, 2 mangos against am, or 8 tangos, or circlet if you are going to need sticks).
in the side shop, u usually buy poor mans shield or sticks, followed by arcanes and soulring.

if you know you will be forced to leave the lane, u can buy talon and tangos, and just go jungle. get salve and atout with courier asap.

average itembuild: bloodstone, blink, shivas, hex.
aghs can be considered, lotus is good against certain heroes (kotl, ns, orchid carriers), early pipe is a must have if the other team has nukers. glimmer cape and euls are optional as long as u know how to use them.
in the very lategame u usually want to have hex and sometimes octarine.

why is aghs considered, not must have? i like the dual spinning things.

its super greedy and kinda low tier item on timbersaw. investing into more "sofisticated" items rewards ur skill more.

generally it can be a legit pickup on mid timbersaw, or in case you are dominating early game as an offlaner (not the most common scenario). otherwise, ud better go for smthng more useful/defensive.

@Triplesteal- when u should not pick this hero? Against what hero he is weak against? The weakness.

You can also get a fast Hood. It's only 1700 gold now and really increases your survivability.

Reconsider to pick timber when there is kotl in enemy team.

timbersaw is good when the enemy has no silences, no kotl and has a lot of strength heroes

also hes good against most melee non-str carries as well, besides maybe antimage

following the same itemization every game aint good. you get 3 items out of 12-15 that are good on timbersaw; it limits your plays.

is pms tango ever worth

not rly, id better get more early sustain/a mango, and upgrade pms later.
you are just not going to be hit so many times in the first two minutes to make it worth it, imo.
