opendota uses a simple arithmetical algorithm that calculates the average exposed mmrs of ppl u get matched with. its not very accurate, but its close enough to ur actual hidden mmr, considering the amount of matches you've played.
So that's how you calculated it. I always wondered how they do it. Somehow i too figured out where i belong by stalking my enemies or teammates mmr
