Your better off picking more open heros like, SB, Mirana, Lina. They adjust to what's needed.

Well if you are going to play carry then you should pick a carry imo. Surely it is good to start he picking phase with a hero which is very versatile in his lanes. For example: weaver; he can be either offlane or safelane. Or Shaker could be played on any lane. This versitility will make counterpicking harder.
Ofc its frustrating to loose gold, but actually that 20-40 gold you are losing is not going to mean nothing if they just pick a hero which counters your hero extremly well (Am vs wraith king)

Hero with no major counters are like troll gyro luna. Then depending on whether they are meta u can pick every game. Jugg is countered by axe. Well a lot of carries are countered by axe too. Troll is annoyed by axe. But you are generally safe with troll

If I go into a ranked game as a super tryhard carry player who realistically thinks that he is at least slightly better then most people at his mmr but my team isn't picking and we're losing gold should I pick a carry early, should I wait for them to pick, should I pick a good lane carry lick Razor, should I pick a decent support or what?
