Basically if Sven can't hit u cuz he misses then he can't clear the illusions.
I wud also consider some wacky shit like sb and abyssal, so u sb on to him, abyssal, ulti, stun, and burst him down.
Halberd and Diffusal are the best tools you can get against Sven. Halberd is self-explanatory, evasion hp and DISARM are all great against Sven.
Diffusal counters Sven in multiple ways, too: It removes warcry so that you can actually deal damage to him if he uses it. Also Sven has a shit mana pool, if you initiate on him and hit him a few times with your illusions and the hero, all his mana will be gone so he won't even be able to ult to get hp and damage. Because if he just uses warcry and then ult, and stuns you once disarm is over, you're fucked anyway.
However if he gets BKB and is able to use it in time you're kinda fucked.

@meka dagger is questionable but the rest i agree with, im just maybe suggesting a deviation to get around a counter, not to say always build silver edge and abyssal on him

Make sure you keep your farm on par with Sven's (or at least close enough). If he's farming 10 cs/min you want to get at least 9, etc.
In terms of the actual fighting, you want to aim for their backline heroes. Don't stay near your team if you cast phantasm already, flank them instead.
Don't fight Sven unless he's out of position, your team can chainstun him, and warcry is either purged or not yet cast (Sven will likely live thru 4 seconds of stun + reality rift with CK ult if warcry is active).
It's a difficult matchup but you can play around it.
how about diffusal
is that stupid? i guess you want to insta kill sven before he uses anything so purge for warcry might seem redundant but you might be able to burn enough mana before he wakes up fom stun so he doesnt ult at least if you dont manage do burst him
once bought diffusal on lina enemy heroes werent able to use abilities after 3 seconds very strogn would recommend
All fine, but you dont stand with Sven in the first lane to get a combo from CK on your face, but w8 in the woods instead to initiate on him. 30 min mark Sven should already have bloodthorne which if im not mistaken gives truestrike so leaves ck useless.
Just pick Sven instead, he's way more ez to play.
Evasion vs sven really depends. On ck it's probably good cus your rift is going to surround him and he'll have to target one of your illusions. On PA if you have a bunch of melee heroes next to you sven can just target one of those cus cleave dmg can't miss. As long as hit hits on the guy next to you you take cleave dmg. That's why PA is not really a sven counter and sven doesn't need to rush mkb vs PA.
Diffusal is risky - doesn't give CK's primary stat and is nullified by BKB.

All good advice but really the solution was at the drafting stage. Either ban Sven first, don't pick CK until Sven would be a bad pick for them or play CK as a roamer and pick something else for a pos 1.

Buddy, when playing CK there is a carry who would give you a far greater headache then Sven. At least you can use your combo on sven.
Try pulling off the rift-stun combo on phantom lancer, or fighting him as ck in the late game..... And PL with aghs + late game items will be able to clear the CK illusions easily
Just Don't jump onto him when his bkb is active . The funny thing is , CK actually kills sven without illusions in a manfight . Tried it in a 1 vs 1 lobby . If you can't get to him focus the supports . In a real game if you and your illusions somehow survive after Sven's BKB wears off , he's dead asf . Reality Rift into chaos bolt . Ez Pz
Don't be retarded please. Sven will have 5 slots with aegis at 25 mins while ck will have armlet manta and if you lucky a reaver
u win by having more networth. I dont care what sven does if ck and sven are equal networth ya ck is going to lose but if ck is an item ahead ck will still rape sven.

I played CK my last game and got a sven counter pick. How do you deal with this? My ult was pretty much useless. I could use it to farm but nothing more. I could still outplay him occasionally with armlet toggles etc. but in the end its your ult that makes you so broken.
Also didn't help that pretty much all lanes were lost.
Any suggestions? Maybe shoudlve gone different item build? I was planning on getting a halberd after bkb. Game was over by then though.
