Then dont “captain” honestly most of us gets annoyed when someone keeps ordering around and usually shouting(he ends up getting muted btw) its not like we are playing this as a sport, we play this to relieve stress,and nothing is more stressful than getting ordered around in a game you play for fun.
I'm happy to just roll with the punches alot of the time, often i'll play music and just use chat wheels
but without a captain most games end up in dissaray and you lose because of lack of coordination.
like i said, When it works... I get commended and held in high regard, when it doesn't people get the shits. :)
I honestly don't want to be 'captaining' or whatever, what i want is a group of people trying to win and communicating.
The best and easiest games are ones are where everyone is contributing.
I'm not ordering people unless they are doing blatantly the wrong thing (jungling while lanes need to be pushed) i'll say ''can you push X lane while 4 people show bot etc''
like i said, I've been around long enough to understand the mindset of a dota player and to know what wins games. It honestly usually takes quite alot to get me angry or players intentionally doing something that will lose the game.
Collective communication is significantly better than no communication. I believe thats your arrogance talking IYID, I'm usually in a position where i'll admit my faults or if someone flames someone i'll be saying 'hey how can i help' instead of flaming them. You don't have to be told what to do, if you make the correct or seemingly correct plays without someone asking for it.

Maybe you're just not a good captain. A good captain will be admired whether he win or lose.
Try not to order your team too much, be a suggestive player instead. People don't like to play like a puppet

So, i'm abit of a captain when i play.
I will communicate most of my thoughts, This nets me alot of easier wins and significantly easier games if everyone is on the same page. (This is much much more successful in higher ranked games (immortal average) than lower ranked games (divine average)
'we should push here, wait for this item, you should buy bkb, please get a bkb, we will lose if you don't get a bkb, we lost because you didn't get a bkb'
This means that when we win i get a tonne of commends, but if we lose i usually get the blame. Especially when players are defiant and have a different idea on how to play the game (this is ususally guarenteed losses + reports)
I'm also running into account buyers my team that made life infuriating, which i tend to get abit frustrated when i say 'swap me, or hex him' and the player is standing still typing or something. (this also nets extra reports)

Aus server is quite limited, especially with low bh score and high mmr. Queues already take 60mins for ranked, my current unranked queues are back to taking 30mins+ to find any game, Turbo or whatver.
I am also back to being muted.
I honestly tryhard so much, and i'm 99% of the time PMA Captain ghandi loving unicorn man.
Even in unranked i get reported all the time for just existing (3k players have no idea what 5-6k players are attempting to do and dislike losing the illusion that they are good at the game)
Bitch please, save reports for ranked games that actually matter... please
