If he's partying with his friends they are probably 1k too so the average rating of all players in the game will be so low it will say normal skill. The account probably still has 4k mmr. Four 1k team mates plus one 4k team mate is easily normal skill bracket ranking for whole team. What's the point of buying 4k account unless it was to impress friends? Surely he doesn't love losing so much that he wants to pay to lose more often?
Its hilarious if he maintained vhs. 1st . he's not a 4k material. Soon he will be back to his real MMR 1k😂
He has to be in a party with someone around 2.9k MMR or lower to be in a Normal ranked game. It doesn't have to be super low, just a bit below 3k is enough.
But for solo que he would have to lose 28 ranked games in a row and he only lost 2 before the Normal game.
I doubt its party related. If you look at the graphs, you'll see a drop in last hits for example. I have friend whom I play with that's in 2.4k-2.6k mmr and they don't know how to look at maps or read pings on map. I have to literally say "get out they are coming for you" and spam pings and even that they'll take their time to tp. And when they do. They do it in the lane with creep vision on them. So I'm not surprised if he drops at that rapid rate simply because they have no sense of where ganks are coming.
Not to mention when I try to tell him that certain items are better against certain heroes such as euls against Axe, he would argue back to say things like "yeah but I think dagon would be better cause I get to pick off sniper". Kinda tells you how much they focus on individual game rather than team oriented fights.
Again, not surprised at all.

So i sold my smurf account (this account http://www.dotabuff.com/players/226612150) and it was 4.3k mmr and even in nmm i always get VHS
once the guy who bought my acc (he's 1k) play the bracket dropped so fast to normal skill and high skill, is that even possible? i mean can you get punished so much by mm system by doing really bad in games or is he just partying with someone really below him?
