how does shadow poison work and why should i max it first? in General Discussion
Seven-

if i understand things correctly, this is how shadow poison works:

it deals 50 damage per use, and when released, it will deal 1/2/4/8/16 x the stack damage (so if you have 3 stacks, it would deal 80 damage at level 1) with additional stacks adding 50 more to the original formula.

in regards to maxing it first, i do see that it is the most practical way to do things, seeing as how even if i max soul catcher and disruption and gank with them no one would be able to understand shit im doing cuz no one ever plays this hero. but if im not ganking and im maxing shadow poison, should i just stay at lane, spam that spell, and abandon ganking over all?

Farming your own stacks with Shadow poison is a pretty important part of the hero!

        50 + 50 + 50 + 50 + 50 + 1040

here you have a good sd player (immersion ~7k mmr)

Basically, the only reason to not max poison, is if you play with an invoker. banish + soul catcher + sun strike = dead hero. (but you'll leave disruption lvl 1 anyway)
