Doesn't mean someone can't find an algorithm. Take games loss/won + match lvl (normal/high/very high) and you can probably get an actual MMR ranking.

Are you guys archiving all match data? Wanted to take a stab at writing a MMR algorithm and wanted to use existing data to create it and also test it. Curious if it's possible to get at this?
