Pros have to be the very best and as such I think the try to limit their hero pools. It's just arbitrary, probably no theorycrafting behind it, just those are the picks and they don't have time to switch it up and practice every other hero.
picks like vs and zeus are too situational... u might wanna last pick them cause they lack flexibility in terms of having good synch with other heroes and combos (u might say its ez with vs but it isnt... that range and hp pool, having no rly aoe nuke for teamfights rly limits your other picks in terms of countering some 5manstrat or push/rat doto shit
EG deffinetly over and over again showing smth new, atm Arteezy midle with Morp and offlane Universe with Void = )
OD isn't a very good pick in this current meta, especially with Nyx being a very popular hero now.
OD actually wasn't that great, even when picked a lot. I believe he had one of the lowest win rates at TI3.
od is a gambling hero, when he didnt get farm enough he is so useless because he is item dependent hero.
they play safe heroes. That is how you win. Sure you can put drow mid and he can win his lane BUT putting a puck there and he pretty much cant lose his lane

For example venge is being picked very rare in 6.80 in my opinion venge one of the best support atm.In the games I watched also Kunkka such a good mid also very rare , why?Alot games ppl now also pick disruptor and AA,why someone don`t counter it with Zeus mid? I know zeus mid is mah..easy to be picked off but same story for Sf which some teams very often still pick.I don`t know I mean current meta is like teams copy each other and scared to try smth new still,last 2-3 day every game dazzle,AA and now also Lycan.
Also where is Od? Nobody pick him anymore why is that? He got nerfed just by 3 dmg..he is still very strong mid..
