It seems that the first 2 guys are fake or exploiters

hi there, just to give you my 5ct on that topic:

a search will come, but this will only include names and doesn't include anonymous (obviously).

the reason i do not provide steam or dotabuff links is because i don't want to automatically expose every information on players what might lead to any kind of flame or harassment. everyone with a certain special or unique name however is well aware that he can be found easily.

so the middleground in the next updates will be something like:
- everyone can opt-in to link his dotabuff profile (it will be hidden by default)
- there will be a search that can find players by name who are not anonymous

there are more changes coming, but those don't directly concern the topic

lemme know if you have ideas on that

Top guys are fake as fuck, adding a dotabuff search so you can easily find players.

what duplicates are you referring to?
(if you mean last on one page and top on next page, that is just an ordering glitch, that fix will be up tomorrow)

Ah I see, well its done anyways so find a player then you should get a basic reference to where they are in dotabuff methinks.

yeah, everyone is probably aware that one can get triangulated with some guesswork (if he is not anonymous), but i just can't give out those information without the users consent for privacy reasons :)

He's a faggot who for some reason got this ridiculously high mmr. Last time i played with him he went 0 5 0 mid and started feeding couriers.

I will have to rerun it in a bit.

Had issue extracting people with weird names, regex too hard. Seems to have missed 2-3 pages out of 157 so will sort it out shorlty.

a SmallStepsCorrupt, he played with notail alot in HoN i think, ye he may have failed, but he seems to be the highest legitimate mmr.

Highlighted duplication so either it is displayed in error or they have an alt account.
Pulled in the missing pages and sorted out the regex issue with people and their stupid names.

so do you plan on crawling dota2toplist on a regular basis? seems like a json api would be something to safe you some trouble? ;D

Newp, just a one time urge thing as once you put in the search and remove dups it will be a super handy site for quick lookups.

It's easy enough to cycle pages in delphi with something like....

For I = 1 To 159
strURL = "http://dota2toplist.com/solo?page=" + Trim(Str(I))

It takes like 1-2 mins to get all the tables into a comma delimited text file. Some good infrastructure you have there btw, kudos.

and thx for the infrastructure. to be fair i haven't put any efforts into optimization yet, ruby has just a nice performance out of the box :)
