Id like items that rewarded playing the game that much. Cause you get battle points bonus items for every level, but you still dont get anything nice for being lvl 200. I think it would be a nice incentive to add reward items into the game.

On Topic: I like the idea a lot. Have increasingly "cooler" items as your progress would encourage only favorite-hero play though and people wouldn't want to change it up for the most part. Just now we (I) had an abandon by a Spanish-speaker because he wanted to play as "huscar". Captain wouldn't give him "huscar" so said Spanish-speaker abandoned quickly after all selections were made. I mean the Spanish-speaker wouldn't let up. "huscar" "huscar" "huscar" "huscar" "huscar" etc....

Who gives a shit if there are abusers if they are forced to do well with a certain hero. It would encourage abusers playing well? Not like rating is already a shit fest, not to mention the game being f2p.

I just thought of this, but why don't they dedicate certain items to people who have played a certain hero x amount of times with at least a 50% winrate?
rare for 100 games
Mythical for 500
and some Genuine Mythical for 1,000
Dota is already a profit house, but this might encourage some hero love maybe?
