Linken's offers +15 atributes while bloodstone doesn't offer anything beyond raw hp and mana. Weaver, Medusa and Morph benefit way more from stats than what you get from bloodstone so it's not a smart choice, imo.
Depending on the enemy lineup and game situation going Bloodstone over Linken's is legit IMO. I'll admit that it's a pretty rare situation though.

For storm everyone would choose bloodstone over linken
for fighting doom, linken is a must.
stats=/= attributes and you only really sacrifice +15 agility. strength and int are irrelevant for those heroes.
any hero? what's difference between 400 hp and 9 hp regen and 15 strength and 5 hp regen, the first one is better. and even for strength heroes it doesn't matter because it's +15 to all attributes.
linkens is a possible item for all heroes, unless there are zero target spells on the enemy (impossibruuu)
bloodstone is mostly for mana intensive heroes like storm, leshrac, tinker
no one builds linkens for purely for stats, why are u even comparing them
might as well throw in DR into the mix....cause its an item too, it has feelings!
bloodstones pretty solid on, as said before, mana intensive heros, and if you can get a ton of kills with it thats a plus to add charges/regen.
the buildup on bloodstones a lot better than that of linkens (arcanes/perseverance are both super useful early on and arcanes can be disassembled into stone, whereas theres a 2.1k item in linkens and the parts dont offer a lot by themselves (well persev does but thats a 5k buildup with minimal benefits prior to completing the whole item

I just thought about this. If you don't really need the shield from linken(vs. veno,lycan,death and nature's prophets etc.) and would greatly benefit from better stats s , bloodstone is better?
If you choose bloodstone over linken, you gain extra 215 HP , 205 mana, 3.55 HP regen, 125 gold and potentially much higher mana regen. While you lose 15 damage and attack speed and 2.1 armor. discuss.
