                If you mean you would like to reformat your windows while not having to redownload dota2, then all you have to do is save the contents of the dota2 folder somewhere else then when you re-install steam copy them all back. It will then take about 20 seconds to sync and then you should be fine.

                  The folder should look something like this

                  Steam\SteamApps\common\dota2beta

                  Also as a general rule it isn't a good idea to have any games installed on the same partition you have your windows installed on, if your are rebooting windows it might be an idea to make one so you don't lose stuff like this if you're going to re-install again.

                      I tend to copy it all in then use the 'check integrity of game cache' thing to let steam find it.
