From what I have perceived is that they(dotabuff) dont even notice patch changes. They do change it themselves as in "Games played from now are 6.84(f)"
You wont be able to retrieve matches which are older than a week as they are deleted.
Why is it relevant for you to know which patch it is ?
What do you mean that you won't be able to retrieve matches older than a week?
As for relevancy, it is just a piece of information that I would like to have for a feature I have an idea for.
They are deleted! If you plan to process through older replays (Hence the version relevance)
You should just start working on your idea :) about that you should worry later
Haha, it was just a bad game. I had a shit early game because of some mistakes and the fact that I was making sacrificial swaps to save carries. One dude on our team left, and two dudes on the other team left. Void on the other team fed us two rapiers, techies bought third on his own. Was one hell of a match.

I am a developer working on a project using the Dota 2 WebAPI, and was wondering if it is possible to get the patch that a match was played on based on the match id, or even any of the WebAPI in general. From what I understand, you can search matches on Dotabuff based on patch number, and I would like some insight on how this is done. Thanks in advance.
