you should be taking note of the time you go it so you don't end up in this situation. Would you like to see the other teams items and cooldowns in the score tab as well?
First of all, I knew it would expire soon, I have general sense - memory, was it 00, 15, 30, 45, my timing was a bit off because I had to delay the rush/push for 20 seconds.

Just keep track of the gametime, i do that all the time, not only for aegis but also for every important ultimate. You won't get bothered by aegis timing out without a message then.

It should be as I said, if an enemy hero damages you, aegeis can't expire in next 3 seconds. Opposite of blink dagger...
I played WC3 Dota for at least 4 years and the Aegis expire time was never mentioned.
if the timer was up would you have tried to die quicker? the same exact thing would have played out
AHAHAHAH, the aegis expire time was a hack that was acceptable to use in some leagues or in-house arenas but it wasn't default in the game.

In warcraft there would be global text which says aegis will expire/be reclaimed by roshan in 2/1 minute/s.
I just went in a teamfight and lost aegis right before death, bought back to finish, couldn't tp with BoTs and pointlessly pushed a lane which later resaultet in me needing a buyback. (lost game)
I said this once before and I'll say it again. AEGIS SHOULD BE LIKE BLINK, AFTER A HERO HITS YOU, CAN'T USE IT. - AFTER A HERO HITS YOU, IT CAN'T EXPIRE!! (3 seconds)
