I thought it would be awesome on him but it felt pretty meh to me.
your healing from your ult was already pretty awesome and by the time you have octarine, death pulse is fairly irrelevant.
think i'd prefer all of shivas,aghs,hex & refresher over it.
tbf you seem to have had success with him in 6.84c regardless of your build!
edit: jsut checked your octarine matches and it isn't the octarine that is winning the game for you - with one exception, you get it a couple of minutes before the end of the game.

IMO octarine is only good as 6th slot when you have a lot of actives (like blink, shivas, hex, bkb, travels)

gl anyone getting that shit to work in 3k. I love necro safe lane, maybe he's not a tower destroying carry but he can wreck teams with farm and is fine safe lane but in pubs every necro pick is assumed to be support or at best mid, they will never let you farm. Even when I say I'm going to safelane necro they laugh at me call me noob and say he's support then pick carries.

well not to worry ancients necro on dire is absolute boss too dont let 2k redditors throw you off
ancients necro works as well as any other jungler, I get like 10 min mek + brown boots and that's probably slow.
Silencer carry is a little more iffy than necro carry though just cus he's not mobile or tanky so he can die very easy early. Necro is tank at least, but you are right, built right he's a badass, can do a ton of glaive dmg.
? ancients necro does not work as well as any other jungler! ok maybe if your definition is limited to the speed he can farm at if he's not contested but ancients necro is so crap in that its just one camp to ward and if you are ganked at 4-5mins you leave a big pile of almost dead ancients that they can probably farm.
having said that, i would rather do that than support with him...
dire ancients isnt easy to gank at all lol you have uphill vision and no one can clear your ancients at 5 min when its 3-4 stacked barring alchemist and templar
also unlike on radiant, you can see where the supports plant the ward so its impossible to block your camp
well that said i only do it when im smurfing/boosting cuz im too lazy to lane against them

First of all I didn't make this thread to have everyone tell me that he gets countered by glimmer, so if you were about to say that there's really no need.
What do you think about octarine on necrophos? Like in theory this item seems stupidly good on him: Insanely low cooldown on his q, you heal even more if you hit someone with it, you heal of the heartstopper aura and if you get a kill with your ult the healing u get is stupidly high because sadist + the spell healing. It looks like the item was made for him, just cuz it basically does everything necro needs: It keeps u alive, gives u mana and you just let your aura and Deathpulse do the job. Also ultra low cooldown on your ulti.
Maybe im just being stupid but for me it feels like this item is core on necro, just cuz its really good when you play vs lots of tanky heroes and thats kind of the only way necro is viable anyways.
