alright I have a problem, for some reason the download speed is capped at 800-1100 kbps on the new laptop (upload speed is normal) while I still get decent speed on my desktop within the same wireless network.

flux, vlc (or some other media player w a good media library - wmp just sucks ass), some free antivirus (Avast e.g. - only if that person is like totally dumb on the internet or needs extra protection. otherwise windows firewall/defender is enough)

wouldnt install any shit like ccleaner or tuneup. they usually mess around w ur computer too much and end up fuckin ur windows up.

concerning ur internet troubles - try it w a cable connection to ur router again. might be just a bad wireless connection..

flux is really good, its not lowering your screen brightness but it colors the screen warmer / colder for less eye strain
