the short answer is yes.
people with higher win rates have higher mmr most of the time, but it is not a direct correlation. Who you are winning/loosing to matters as much as if you win or not.
In theory you could have a 20% win rate and still be increasing your mmr, if you were winning +40 games and loosing -5 games, but lets be real most of your games are going to be +/-25ish, so yes if you want high mmr you will need a high win rate to get it.
but i keep getting this kind of 1 weird player tht will build weird item or fuckaround in the matches..is it normal in pubs eventhou its VHS bracket?
i was owning actually in early game with urn to rush my rad..my last item i was about to replace with my boot was heart in courier but the leshrac killed the courier twice tht was teribble game tbh
but to have +45 -5 you need to have such a high discrepency in mmr that it actually cann't happen unless you are at the very bottom. (and thus not for long.
You can however have 80% winrate and lose mmr, if you have +5 -45, which can actually happen if you are at the very top.
So yes, and correlation is almost afine (not linear) due to the starting point of calibration (and almost cause you tend to have +-24/25/26 almost every game.)
@matrice
hes a smurf tryig to figure out how to calibrate higher. hes not in ranked yet.
Unranked work exactly same as ranked. but you have a cap at 5k, so the +5 -45 cann't happen when you are at the very high.
(cap at 5k and cann't go above it during calibration or cap at 4500 and then max +50 per game of calibration, no matter if you win or lose)
@Roller
i see normal skill and high skill games in your DB profile, which roughly can mean you're in the 3K mmr range.( 2.9k-3.1k)
