invoker
Meepo
chen
NP
Sylla
ES
Brood
Magna
Puck
Phoenix
Heroes that can Completely fuck everything up with one wrong move i´d say
Heroes that can completely fuck everything up? You can't leave Naga and her ulti out of that list....
^^ Why are zeus, viper and leshrekt mentioned? They are awesome but i dunno if I'd say they require a high amount of skill..
Meepwnd
Ember
Storm
Ebola Spirit
Puck
Invoker
Templar
Pudge
Rubick
Chen
I'm assuming we are talking about skill cap, not skill floor.
To me, its pretty simple. Mostly the heroes that have shit winrate in low mmr, but drastically improves with higher brackets (pretty much, some of the below doesnt have a high skill floor and thus enjoy ok winrates in shit mmr).
Thus;
Earth spirit
Ember
Tinker (wr doesnt drastically improve, the hero is just shit atm.)
Puck
Rubick
Meepo
Chen
Magnus
Invoker
TA
Any of these heroes can basically win a game on their own within a certain time frame (well maybe not rubick) if played by the right person.
Most micro heroes such as LD or visage isnt hard if you have played plenty of SC2/WC3, thus they arent included. Chen and meepo involves significantly more apm.
Some other heroes also sport significant improvement in winrate when played in higher brackets, such as Beast master, Wisp, BH, Bat. However i would argue that is simply due to teammates being less retarded and actually utilizing the benefits of those heroes.
Leave the list aside and the joke aswell:
I think Drow requires a lot of skill to be played optimally...
375 range on ulty and 625 attack range leaves you with 250 range to work with.
Basically anyone who doesn't run away from you will kill you...
For my opinion :
Meepo
Invoker
Earth spirit
storm spirit
ember spirit
tinker
chen
lone druid
puck
phoenix
Not in order. In order alphabetically only.
Brewmaster
Broodmother
Chen
Earth Spirit
Enchantress
Invoker
Meepo
Naga Siren
Shadow Fiend
Templar Assassin
Invoker
Brood
Brewmaster
Arc Warden
Rubick
Meepo
Naga Siren
Morphling
Techies
Earth Spirit
thats it.
Clinkz
Meepo
Naga
Tinker
Huskar
The spirits
Chen
Puck
Lone Druid
All take a lot of skill imo
Invoker, Meepo, Tinker, Earth Spirit, Puck, Chen, Storm Spirit, Magnus, Brewmaster, Timbersaw
it varies across different skill brackets. atm i dunno how one shall actually execute sniper, axe or storm in high mmr matches, and its way more difficult than earthspirit/pudge/invoker or whatever else most ppl mention.
it would be more correct to ask "what are the heroes that require most mechanical skill", imo
Also you might want to differentiate thos heroes that require great mechanical skill from heroes that require great situational awareness (best examples are Puck and Rubick)
why do so many ppl post invoker? he is op in every stage of the game. his spells are op and he got buffed so much in comparison to many other mids, who got nerfed. dont see that its that much skill needed. i dont play him though, cuz im not a mid player, so i honestly dont know. i just know that his stats and early laning phase is just op. therefore i think he needs less skill than before.. meta heroes are usually less skill dependent.
chen
io
puck
rubick
shadow demon
techies
tinker
visage
maybes:
brew
earth spirit
lion
meepo
lone druid
^ the question was which hero requires more skill not which hero is more overpowered...and if a hero with 10spells doesnt fit in a category where the rest have max 4 spell, theres defently smth wrong with ur logic. To not even count that u need positioning and to press 4 buttons for a single spell, if anything else the APM voker requires is practically way higher than most of the heroes, which more often than not is translated as skill.
^Chen can have 8 spells and 4 of them require a shit lord of more positioning and macroing than Invoker ever will.
Perhaps your logic is flawed.
Also to play a decent Invoker is easy to play a decent chen is pretty hard.
To play a perfect Invoker on the other hand is very very hard.
Then again to play a perfect chen is EVEN HARDER.
oh wait, im not gonna discuss these thoughts on "logics", because they are fuckin irrelevant. except if u play mb vs bots.
Do i still have time to learn Earth Spirit, or is he going to be nerfed to oblivion next patch?
how's there only 1 pudge vote? Biggest skill shot in game aside from maybe mirana arrow, difference being mirana can kinda do shit even if she sucks at arrows, pudge can't do anything if he can't land hooks.
Yeah, but people have about as much admiration for Pudge players as they have for riki players. It's a respect problem.
mosly stuff that requires micro i suppose, except for earth spirit etc, playmakers like puck, voker, magnus are pretty hard but in a different sense compared to those like meepo, LD, beastmaster, lycan etc
Ima add Bloodseeker to this list because he is very easy, but if he is overly aggressive he can easily feed the game away
Broodmother too. Hero that needs to push down towers to be useful, but can be taken out early by good supports. Had a couple Broods who were surprised that the enemy had sentries wards. I was dude what do u expect them to just let u be invis the whole lane
Brood doesnt take that much skill. Unless you're trying to counter your counterpicks :V
@Seductive_Eist Her skill cap is unbelievable compared to other heroes. I think I remember reading even a couple pros saying no one in the game can effectively use her to the best of her skillset.
all heroes become easy when ur brain actually works.
voker isnt that hard hero u just need better decision making and positioning
i mean learning the spells are something easy.. voker is generaly hard hero
Tinker requires flashy brain and fast moves also this hero is getting u tired after a 1+ hr game
meepo = easy hero
u get full advantage of his microing stuff if u have played wc3 ladder or starcraft in the past
but still he isnt that hard
chen is about microing too
earthspirit seems hard but i guess cause i played him 1 time when he came out and i couldnt do shit
rest are all about the same ammount of skill based mostly on microing
