Prob depends on the enemy safelane lineup. The question is, can u harass the enemy safelane?
I know it may sound stupid coz i'm a normal skill scrub but how bout prioritizing dispersion instead? Tank up yourself a bit and indirectly harass by getting all the aggro.
offlane spectres I see that have success have a midlander that will take tower fast if enemy midlane leaves, and a support that can heal off most aggression.
its situational as hell (generally works poorly against trilanes, ideal situation is a solo safelane matchup vs your dual lane).
generally see people going the urn treads drums wand build, into diffusal+vanguard or similar, seems decent.
@.miral dispersion doesn't really do muhc beyond level one early game - as someone else said - do the maths - it's like 40hp or something per level after level one
ps if you really really really were left solo offlane against a difficult lane, your best bet is probably to dagger into the trees and just leech exp...
bone7 did that a few patches ago with cloud 9, and i also tried it. it sort of works, but you gotta go treads drums urn and you have no kill potential. however you can trade hits with enemy support with desolate
well i just played spec offlane just now. dominated the entire game... downside is, lasted 1 hour... if spec goes offlane definitely in for a long one.
Anything in dota 'can' work but it is a awful idea cuz spec is useless without farm.
Yeah, she needs a fucking baby sitter, she literallly CAN'T take HARASSMENT in laning stage, dies so fast, or burns through regen fast I should say.

I think Spectre is quite a versatile hero and all but is he good in offlane, or rather is he able to survive there? If so, what build?
