Alright let me tell you the trick.

Go back to your main account and keep winning games until you are at least 3.2k. If you can't do that on your main account what makes you think you can do it on a smurf.

In your first 1-5 matches you need to do tons of hero damage. Like 20-30k. It also helps if you get lots of tower damage.

I can get smurfs to very high skill but there is no point because when you que solo you'll go against 4.5k-6k mmr players who will just stomp the shit out of you.

Also, don't ever die. If you die in a match, limit it to 1 death.

Your K/D ratio matters, but hero damage and tower damage have bigger impact.

Nobody exactly knows since the MMR calculation formula (or algorithm, or whatever) is not public. Personally I think Valve has some highly sophisticated and confounding calculation using a lot of ingame parameters (such as, but not limited to, KDA; GPM; LH) and uses it to create a point in some N-dimensional space and "comparing" it with all other games to try to gauge your skill level. But this is just my own train of thought knowing that some other "programs" who try to assign numerical values to things which aren't naturally a number such as "skill". What I can tell you is that focusing on playing better will increase the likelihood of you going to a higher skill bracket more than focusing on one of those parameters. Playing support, I believe, does not affect this. I have a friend who earlier reached High Skill on his account, and he mainly plays support, than another one who NEVER plays support. He has far less games too and the only difference is that he plays better than the other chap.

Why do you want to play in high skill and very high skill basket?

Btw, I think the mmr calibration changed (I played this game since beta). I used to have 49% winning rate my games were high/very high skill. I think it's a lot easier now to get high win rate. I see so many people with 55%-57% winning rate but all their games are normal or high skill.

The reason why I want to have high skill or vhs cause I heard from my frend that you can get a higher mmr calibration if high skill or vhs

I'm not sure if that true tho so I think I'll just play every game the best I can ...try hard boy

I don't know the dark magic volvo put in skill brackets, I used to be a 1.1k scrub and now my smurf is in vhs :( I don't know what to do and I usually feed with pudge which I had no experience on the hero. But DB shows me in vhs.. damn

SE Asia is so horrid, the high skill bracket there is worse than other country normal skill bracket. At least on my smurf i carry in highskill. not like you.

Okay I admit that the skill bracket in SEA server are bad ..I taught this post was about how to help me became a better player ...not MOCK THE SEA PLAYER ON WHATEVER HE POST ABOUT or talk bad about my server like I know its bad (I played all my games on my main and smurf on it so I know how bad and toxic it is) but i m asking about any tips or advice..well if that's itt thanks for the guys that shared some advice..

I don't know... I play support role mainly and I had no idea how the system calculates it even if i have 10+ deaths, it stills put me in very high skill.

SEA server is toxic. Well, it's the same for all servers. Mute button is your friend.

Valve made a double check for changing servers which are too far and will result in high pings or packet loss. So, yea if you got asian teammates on your server, it is intentional, man xD

Im from SEA my main is 3.8, im smurfing because my friend Who is 4.2 have smurf calibrated at 4.7.

Sadly its not going well for me.

My smurf normal games mostly vhs and hs before calibration. Id say my vhs match is BULLSHIT, i always play with 25 min afk jungleboy Who flame team after he Just realized our team is behind, 5 carry meta, and blblblblvlfuck. This fuckin unenjoyable dota make mé shit too, i fuckin trashing every game and did so much abandon.

Now i get calibrated at 2.8 which is normal skill in dotabuff.

What i think now is im Just a shit player, my mind too weak for this server, i always lost focus whenever teamate start flaming which is happen everygame, but its okay im Just not that good.

My tips to be better player:
- Watch your replay
- Watch good player with hero thet u want to play
- Practice with bot
- Play with ur friends or make friends
- If u have a friend Who good at dota watch him Playing, not the game, watch how He play, sit beside him Playing look what He doing and ask question. Or ask him to coach.

Its much2 better than playing with random toxic player and hold our toxicity.

Play in australia server. In my main account, i was boost my party mmr from 2.9 to 3.4 in aus server
