I'm not reasonably convinced that that's true. Most threads that ask honest questions are full of "git gud" and some form of "op is a f4ggot". You don't see this, but people ask questions, they get flamed to oblivion, nobody posts any useful advice, and then op deletes the thread out of embarrassment and never uses the forum again. That happens all the time.
Being good at dota is not a license to be an asshole to people. I can only speak for myself, but I know that I don't feel comfortable asking questions here.
