Picking support in normal skill is one of those mistakes @leelaw

im referring to my decision making and other stuff like that, there's this one game where i lost as a slark because i opted to buy my silver edge/bkb (i forgot w/c one) instead of saving it for buyback, then i failed a pickoff on someone and i couldnt get out on time and my team just got rolled over after that

that was the match i was referring to, look at the lead we got but then i singlehandedly lost us the game just because i became greedy, if i had stayed patient i wouldnt even need to buyback because i'd have my team cover for me or we could at least pull of an even fight against them

not to mention axe is such a bad hero this patch like omfg he got an early ultra kill and snowballed but nope, he's an axe so he fell off quite fast lol

I'm not really that pro, so dont quote me on this...

But, maybe you initiate that kill without your team near you like most slark users do, especially late game, od could have saved you atleast. I guess that pl doesnt have a great game, he should have picked vlads instead since your team lacks healing items plus no urn at all which is great for snowballers.

As you mentioned, you admitted about greediness, so work on it.

Yeah, that's the sad truth. You cant really support efficiently on this bracket.

well yes i tried to initiate a solo kill on PA. i thought i would instagib her because i just picked up a silver edge and i have a bkb too so i thought i was completely safe, but i didnt react fast enough to pop my bkb on time (i guess im mechanically bad at this game) so tiny did QW combo on me, then i was chainstunned to death by the earth shaker while PA and sniper were doing their stuff

i dont remember where my team was during the fight, but i think i remember that fight to be near our tier 3 tower (or where it was, since we were down mid rax during that fight) so i thought that even if i somehow fucked it up i would be safe since my team could back me up but then that turned out to be a really bad decision that cost me the game

as for the game itself OD didnt mid in this game because PL wanted it, luckily OD was a nice guy about it and just gave it up to him instead of losing the lane and us being down 2 heroes before the 10 min mark

axe was destroying everyone, i was having a fairly good time at my safelane and got 2 very easy kills on the earthshaker with pounce-arrow

come midgame this is where i think i fucked up the most, i didnt try to gank PA + sniper a lot in their own jungle so i didnt ball out of control, but i could still get kills from fights

also we dragged the game too long in my opinion, we couldnt push against omni + sniper hitting us from a distance, and my team was really scared of earthshaker

DO NOT play Pos. 5 Support unless you are with friends. You will feed, get reported, and no one will use the vision or space you create. Smokes will be wasted. Pos. 4 Lane Dominator / Ganker / Pusher is fine, though.
DO NOT play heroes without solo kill or escape potential without friends.
DO NOT play team-dependent initiators (Enigma, Dark Seer, Batrider, Io, Magnus, "pro" Slardar, Tusk, FV [no carry items]) without friends unless you are at least 4k skill in those heroes. It doesn't work and you are just wasting ults.
DO NOT only have one initiator or carry. If that person is bad, game is unwinnable. Always have a backup.
In an even game, DO NOT have more than 3 people farming jungle at any one time unless you have no choice (enemy snowball carry or ganker is too strong). At least two players should be ganking or pushing or warding.

i learned something valuable

in normal skill meta doesnt matter, comfort heroes you use > meta heroes

i picked DP and since im not a DP player i just got demolished hard by a dedicated invoker player

but as soon as i picked timber dumpstered a slark and we won easily

Just play a core, get farm, play with patience, if u know Ur in the.lead capitalize on taking objectives without getting killed and if u know you're behind play safe wait for.the enemy cores to make a.mistake, this will happe 90% of the time for sure. And then rinse and repeat. Follow this and u will have a winrate above 75% in normal skill.

this is a lame excuse but i mostly play unranked and party mmr

i only have about ~400 solo ranked games according to dota2 when i checked it via console command

im not used to playing in a manner where i have to stand up on my own

that is about the distribution of my games; ive never rly taken dota seriously enough since i play lots of unranked and pt mmr and ive played solo mmr sparingly over the course of 2 years

i just started to play more of it last year october where i reached 2900 by spamming earth spirit and timbersaw and i dont wanna do that aynmore because wheres the fun in that
