with some heroes you already start with like 2% spell amp, it's a bit annoying yeah
its really not that epic, just allows some Int heroes to be Pos 1 cores, which is what the game has been going to for a long time, Like octarines etc... now you can Position 1 something like a LIna or an Invoker more effectively than you could last patch.
you cant do math anymore against Lesh, Lina and other heavy casters in lategame
thats nice
lategame is more unpredictable
You have to remember that its such a small increase in damage. 1% spell amp per 16 intelligence. If you have 160 intelligence (which is like a REALLY fed silencer at 60 minutes), that's only a 10% damage amp. So at that point, when silencer doesn't want to cast spells since his autoattacks do more damage, a 500 damage nuke becomes 550 damage. Its really a minor increase. Plus all heroes gained HP this patch as well, so that extra 50 damage is pretty much cancelled out by the HP increases.
I'm not talking about it being OP or whatever, just that it's stupidly difficult to calculate IN THE MIDDLE OF A MATCH. And the max hp cap doesn't matter because I'm not talking about those situations.
Like I'm talking about when you're keeping in mind when you're low hp and deciding whether or not to enter a trade. It really throws you off when you die whenst in the past you would've lived. Especially on int nukers with amps around 7~10% on multiple spells. Maybe most people don't feel it all but I do.
You're really getting thrown off by spell amp when aether lens has been in the game for like half a year? Heroes need to get a ridiculous amount of intel (128?) before it even reaches what pre-nerf aether does.

I'm sure a lot of players don't but for those that used to calculate damages by spells to the exact amount, its wtf. Seriously the random 5~% amp can mess with you late game.
