what's it really matter if you get high skill or not? Just focus on improving your Dota and the mmr increases will happen. No amount of trying to pad your stats via smurfing is going to save you from not being good enough to hang out with the 3.5k+ big kids.

Well, unbeknown to me the gods of DOTA were unusually cruel earlier. Finally got a game on HS bracket, but I abandoned after 10mins or so due to enemy player having DC'd for 5mins. Only saw after it was HS. All games after been back to Normal. :'(
