either play mid or pick a jungler like lone druid and pve your way to at least 4k , any other role is unplayable in super low tiers
if you have a jungler, that opens the possiblity of a solo offlane so you can do that aswell
1. buy battle pass 2016
2. callibrate your mmr after 10 matches
3. get angry you got 1k mmr
4. git gud
Play a lot and get better. If you're better than your teammates and you play seriously every time, you'll eventually start to move up.

am also in the range 1k to 2k MMR ... and in this scenario... i get so many noobs... they made my game worst everytime...
i am playing dota from 2014 and i started MMR games when i reached lvl 50 no i have to face experts enemies.

what i found useful here is...
play captains mode...
all pick and random pick is bad for this range...
i have seen... some guys picks AM and PA and they dont know how to play...
if u see these picks in team... and u choose to support... ur game will be F**ked up... and if u try to pick carry... no one will gonna play support...
a good winning team need at least 1 support...1 stunner... 1 tank... 1 magical and 1 agility hero...
Dazzle carry works beautifully there, I was 2k and my friends were around 0,8k it was fun. Earthshaker carry will makes your enemy crumble faster
