Pciking last in low prio games wouldn't change the outcome , play as a team. Get good hero combo's or atleast heroes that works well together. I was once sent to low prio (1game ) ez game..

Versatility matters when it came to ranked. If you have 3 instapick carry team mate, at least pick a support who can late game if your carry fail. Position 4 riki is good, early ganks/rotation and wards. Courier snipes were good 😂. Big game changing. Riki can carry out the team even your team carry fails.
I got out of LP last night! But I'm back at it again after just 2 ranked games... :-/
I'll endure these once again but once I'm back.. I now know how will I approach the "Play Proper" or "Play Carry" Dilemma...

I agree with proper carry. u get the best outcome with carries when u wait to pick last even if u lose some gold in the process.
if I last pick, I'm actually forced to play support most of the time even if I reserve the lane.
so I might have to pick it in the 1st 3 rounds.
