And I've never been a fan of rtz.
now we need to wait for kitrak to come in and tell us how this is old news. He's been posting that the roster has been leaked for weeks but never posting what it actually was.
Honestly this change in personal isn't that huge. Idk who's playing the 5, crit or zai, both are pretty sick in the 4 spot, probably will trade off. Swapping rtz for fear is pretty even. Fear is probably more consistent and had a great TI, but his value to EG has always been more as a mentor and leader. Rtz probably is a better player, just needs to learn composure and consistency and expand his hero pool.
The PPD thing is kind of weird cus he was never the strongest player but was very knowledgeable and kept the team together and consistent. I wonder what his business development position really means. Either way it's kind of cool to see fear and ppd move into management style moves just cus it further pushes dota2 towards behaving like traditional sports with management and business structure.

what do you mean by that? do you mean they're swapping 2 core players for new people and we'll see the results in fall? Or do you mean they won't have 2 new players by the fall major? Cus the add deadline is the 18th. They'll have this roster at fall major.

So umm.. 2 statements..... one saying ppd will be in a management role in EG and other saying he will be in management role in Twitch......
should be good if they could iron out the little problems such whos's 4th/5th, general synergy (strategy?) between suma1l-rtz, etc.
i'm more interested in whether they will stick with the ppd-esque approach on winning (win lane, starve out the enemy, close the game with massive lead, etc) or shift away from it, building a whole new playstyle different from ppd's EG
kinda confident this lineup will live up to the expectations, seeing rtz, zai, and cr1t (suma1l too? not sure tho) had a bromance time in Rome after TI, so they [should] have already discussed what needs to be discussed and there won't be any major problems regarding team synergy
they were better when sumail was aggressive and dominant, rtz should do less farming and make more plays imo.
Obviously fear is going to teach RTZ how to play other carry heroes so that the team is more versatile and still remains high level. This team should work out fine
skill wise yeah they'll be just fine, sumail also needs to expand his hero pool a bit cus he was pretty awesome with storm, qop and windranger but all of those are out of favor. Storm is kind of coming back.
