What's your definition of core? If you are rushing it as first item after treads you're terribly wrong. But if you are getting it as a 4th/5th item after bloodstone+orchid+survivability item it seems like the way to go.

yeah u can go for it immediately after orchid+bs in majority of games. Very good vs meta heroes like sven and slark, etc.

Yes it's like the only hero it's good on. Crit, truehit, rightclick damage and regen all in one item.

Definition of a core item as i recall: some item that works best in most cases on that hero(complements the hero)

core as in, if u have the money for it, ur definitely getting that. like its obviously a late game item, but if u have money for it and get something else then its not that core anymore...
