It depends on the role, cuz silencer can range from pos 5-2, tho of course he isnt as strong in all of these positions. However he is very good when drafting cuz it hides the draft strategy cuz he can be played so many different ways. I still wudnt first pick him, cuz its better to let people walk into a silencer pick (cuz he can potentially counter heroes pretty well) rather than pick it and let the enemy pick to avoid getting countered.

nothing more infuriating than having a silencer who has no map awareness and does not know when to press R.

ok so no 1st pick. I'm still not fixed with a lane, is the lane situational with him? how bout the item? I usually go null>PT>Pike>Sheep and I find myself lacking mana mid game, do i still need euls? I tp a lot to support but I'm usually static in lane so i can fast farm pike, after that I go with the team.

You can first pick silencer. Silencer mid is fine, core silencer is fine, support silencer is fine. In the end it's your knowledge of the game, game sense and what items to get if you want to be a good silencer.

What position do you play silencer?

For mid pretty sure pike > silver edge > hex is the build. U cud go helm or veil and then pike too. Atos is also really good but i dont know where you wud fit it in ur build. U cud buy it before silver edge it wud work nicely sometimes. Late game is like bloodthorn, skadi, refresher, linkens, moonshard.

pos 3? Pos 4 when needed. I'm more of a farmer type player early game always static in lane, but always tp for support.

So u support as silencer? Also dont hold urself to rules like "i always tp support" just make the decision as you go. Dont tp support when u cant make a difference. And im pretty sure u dont offlane with silencer so ill ignore the pos 3 part

Ye only if he has enough int so that he gains 330 damage from glaives then u r clearly doing something wrong. Btw u can buy bkb so he cant glaives, or just stun him and he dies cuz he is so squishy.

thanks for the reply @daddy, haven't tried silver edge on Silencer yet. I think I'm better playing him as a carry. safelane or when no one takes mid. maybe veil when Its a hard game and I can't build pike fast?

well in 2k it's hard competing for mid when playing silencer. cause fuck 2k sea. I think's it's even safe to say Its hard competing for mid in 2k when its full of retarded kids that say "I'm mid, trust me" and fucking feed the enemy mid and then blame the team instead.

have heroes on ur team that can lock people in place to make use of your ultimate.

alternatively, have enemy heroes that absolutely must commit and thus are ruined by your ultimate. clockwerk is a classic example of a hero that bads will get rekt on, because they hook cog themselves into dumb shit and then their team cannot back them up

silencer is also a great pick against enigma, and good against CM / WD, although its only absolutely game breaking against enigma IMO

Sil mid is only good if u have good supports

@JDF8 thanks for the tip, so best pick when against enemy that have AOE skills that has high damage/disable. But when do I avoid picking him?

good case scenario: the teams are clashing, you hit r. their team cannot cast spells and quickly dies as you jump on them

bad case scenario: you click r, the enemy team uses disengage items force glimmer / walks away and reengages after global. you then probably get stomped

so you want heroes that make sure the bad case scenarion

silencer is great against SM WD and enigma because their ults are instantly cancelled by global even if they ahve bkb on. this basically ruins enigma as a hero

by contrast silencer is bad against heroes who dont care about being silenced. (obviously). classic example is lycan because he is completely unaffected by global. LD is almost in a similar boat.

your biggest worry is that the enemy team finds a way to disengage after global. this is usually more oriented around their items and positioning than their heroes, though

If you pick Silencer you need to be wary of Carries that have Manta as they're core item or supp that will potentially build Euls.

Silencer is the best especially in SEA server that are full of child that thinks he can play carry and spam sven and wk. With silencer you can easily disable enemie carry.

i always first pick silence sup, and still have over 55% wr. People do not think of countering a support silencer, and your team enjoys the later pick of cores. But pls tell your team to get real fight-initiators, only after their initiation you can use your Ult at it is most power.

Don't die before team fights in early game.e. try to stay in range of enemy dieing. Youll scale amazingly with the stolen int.
In low skill bracket there's always uncontested farm. Take advantage of it.
You can go in any lane. Mid only if you have no good mid hero. Even though you need level 6 fast to be more imapctful. There's more chance you'll get a kill in dual lane.

Beware of manta and silences(ironical) you lack escape so make pike first.
R is insanely good to counter initiate. Use wisely don't always use at start. Enemy maybe smart and retreat if you do that continuously. With vision you can decide better.
