2x Midas would be extremely garbage in the excessively vast majority of games, however, theoretically, it could be viable in 1 out of 100 games, when you have some kind of insane HG defense along with very strong late game cores besides the LD.

A game, where you'd both have no trouble prolonging the game and would autowin it on the 45-50 min mark just due to your pick.

Again, that would be an extremely rare occasion and even then LD is quite weak of a late game offlaner, sincerely speaking.

Being lvl 13 at 22 minutes in the game and not helping the team like the LD in my dk game

Only if the enemy does not plan to do anything for 50 minutes, so probably in every 2k game.
