It is a hard hero to play well, although to be fair I think ranged druid is overall much easier than the old bear oriented style. I'd consider Meepo a very broken pub hero and it's only sitting at 50.47%. In the hands of a good bear player this hero is actually retarded to play against. There's a reason it won every game at Dotapit finals.
actually he is very easy to play now yes. i havent even played ld on my main account, so my last ld game was 2-3 years ago. after few games on my smurf i changed my item builds and he seems absurd strong to me. also the savage roar skill is broken to me. i dont really follow pro dota. but is ld meta in professional dota?
i think the dominator item is the reason why ld is so strong. the item is ok on almost every hero now. imagine a lineup with 5 domis. u could have 5 additional 1400 hp stunning golems in a teamfight. players underestimate this item.

I played lone druid a couple of times recently, and he is nearly unstoppable. i just buy dominator and push all lanes.. u can run at max speed, u have attack range like sniper and are good at late with 12 slots. unfortunately no game lasted that long. 80% of the games are 25 min games
