I was never good with Visage (46% wr i think) but was starting to learn him when 7.00 hit. I was excited for a week then 7.01 came out.
I think at this point he is completely unplayable for exactly the reasons you just mentioned. With all of the luna/ember/sniper spammers out there your birds are flying sacks of gold.
I miss the days when they were tanky and you could fly them into fights, track down, chain stun and chase heros and have your LS infest them. :)
You are right. This is the worst patch for visage. I dont remember him being this bad in any previous patches and i play this shit game for 11 years. 7.00 was supposed to be a nerf for visage coz in 6.88 visage had the 3rd highest winrate above 5k mmr (around %53-54 winrate)
but visage overperformed in 7.00 which was unexpected for icefrog. so he nerfed visage even more so now hes dead
you could think that osfrog should be aware that new/reworked heros or heros that are very unpopular obviously get a high winrate when they suddenly get picked again. because players dont reall know what the hero can do or how to counter the hero.
that was also the reason for my high winrate.

Before patch 7.00 i playee visage a lot and had a 70% winrate, now i kindof cant play him anymore.
Before the patch I used the birds to fly into an ongoing teamfight in order to stun the enemy team.
Bow they take magic damage and with all the luna and ember spammers and magic AoE damage they just die faster.
Do you havw to play the hero completely different then before or did maybe just my playstyle change an suddenly im bad with visage?
I mean the little armour they got doesnt help much to keep them alive when rightclicked and now they also take magic damage
in my opinion their attempt to "revive" the hero and bring him back into the meta just killed him completely.
afaik the pick rate qas high eaerly but only because people thought he is OP, and now the pickrate is lower then ever before
