If magic damage is such a problem early why not drop more points into Spell shield and pick up a casual cloak rather than committing to something like a Pipe when you're just going to be split pushing with it. BKB is only 500 more gold than a Pipe anyway.

that item is pretty cheap and can be farmed very fast , therefore it wont reduce ur timing for BF that muc but is still imba for early 5v5 fights

DK serves as a tank rather than a damage dealer. Since he can deal well with physical damage (Dragon's Blood or some shit + Armlet) his only weakness is high DPS spells. Hood allows him to just run around in fights doing anything he wants with the Hood active, because enemies in the early stages of the game simply cannot deal with him yet, which allows DK's team to take early towers and do that slow-siege thing.
Same thing with Timbersaw, but with Timbersaw I think Hood is more important because once you are gonna get that Bloodstone wasting away all the charges because of dying is just plain stupid. Timbersaw isn't that tanky before he gets his items actually, iy just feels that he is unkillable because of his Reactive Armor + high DPS spells.
only hood IMO, also AM isnt "frontliner" but he is meele so, in any moment he most be close to the fire hitting.. is situational, but can work.. after all, ignore this incompromising commends.. if it helps u to win ur game, then is "legit"

Your offlaner should pick it up in case facing Zeus/Invoker/Pugna/Leshrac/Lina/etc., not the main carry.
In case your offlaner can't (in cases, where it's a Broodmother or some other niche hero), your pos. 4 should farm it up.
In no way should main carry be building Pipe. You can get both passive/active benefits of it, without being the item carrier
Furthermore, magic resistance stacks with diminishing efficiency, thus AM will receive little actual benefit.
Please for the love of god no, if you even have to think about why dumping 2k gold on extra magic resistance items for AM is bad you are terrible at Dota.
yea but 80 % spel resist is just too good for 4 magic heroes u just stand there they all nuke u and u just afk
Okay you've got 99.99% magic resistance. Lina's ult does negligible damage. Lion's combo does the same damage as a Kobold. Now suddenly, out of nowhere, someone stuns you! Then you die one second later to physical DPS because you invested 2k gold into a redundant item instead of safely farming and trying to get your Battlefury.
If there are 4 magic DPS heroes in the enemy team do the sensible thing and hide and clear jungle. If they have 4 magic DPs heroes they aren't likely to be farming so go to their jungle and steal, then cut waves to stop pushes. Always bring a TP and only TP in if you see someone you can kill with Mana Void. If not then go to the nearest lane and push like hell. Make your team's 4v5 worthwhile with a trade on towers, because otherwise you can't do anything in a teamfight except die.

a mont ago i made i thread about battle fury andymage not being viable anymore and most of comments where about me being autistic blabla bla now.. u ALMOST cant see andy in games, and when he appears.. just go for dominator -> manta... i think, if u can win games vs a magic spell line up building hood, then do it

item is very cheap and instead of dpmonator or vanguard as early item u just go pipe(or just hood and finish pipe after bf) treads and farm BF
