I do get reported on occasion, espcially the closer i get to 4k, i have never gotten close to low prio even though i spam him though. I play well enought that people realize its not my fault when we lose. Actually, i get reported by enemy usually... because waaa i lost lane/game to techies.
1.the proximity mines give 50 gold dude. 50. they take 2 seconds to activate and 1.75 to prime. they ding when u get in the area of them
2. while techies can support...... no
3. cm can give mana to the whole team the whole game passively. name one other support who can do this

You can't use that logic in an argument/discussion, well, you can, but it makes u look like you need a waambulance
EDIT: i guess if u play pugna as a support he can one shot creep waves, kotl can.

i usually don't enjoy playing a 60++ min gaming because someone enjoy minesweeper on dota map , i play teachis occasionally and i swear to god i feel like i deserve to be reported every game i pick him , why shall any team contribute so much resources to chase a support around the map and being always under mental pressure by just moving around the map ; if they somehow rework his stupid high ground defense that will force players to learn how to actually be present in teamfights and and try to win the game just like any other hero
i couldn't disagree more. the entire reason why people dislike techies, is because his qwerk changes the game more than any other hero. that's the key difference.
it's like if i created a hero who by his very existence give the ancient invulnerability until 60 min but no other skill. let's say u even carefully balance the hero and call it his own "qwerk". let's say he maintains a 50% winrate. but you just change the fucking game so much it's not fun to play in a match with the hero in it. if you still think "Yea every hero has his qwerks" and you dont pay attention to what the perimeters of the games actually are, then all you're arguing for is a very philosophical direction for how a game like dota should be.

Literally, people are playing him wrong if that's all techies has to offer. His high ground is amazing, yes, but his push and team fight are pretty good too. To counter him? prox mines are free money early game, and get some freaking bkbs and maybe a few blink dagger and just run through the bombs.
or let's just continue creating retarded heroes but balance it so the game is not fun. let's see. what if i made a hero where his ultimate is that you can only use it 30 mins into the game, and u can only use it once where u remove all 5 heroes from the enemy team and u have to end the game in 5 mins or you lose.
how about something stupid like that, but we balance the hero so your team has to 4 v 5 for 30 mins in order to get a free win.

^well you can argue that a lot of heroes have very unique skillsets that are borderline similar to techies that should be removed. maybe broodmother is one of thsoe heroes. but shes still not as bad.
I mean, I personally hate meta driven games, off picks like techies/brood give the game some variety in like 5% of games. Saying they should be removed is actually just asking for league of legends.
I hate playing against spectre and naga siren, but hey , i am glad they are in the game because they contribute to the roster is their own unique ways. I absolutely hate dealing with storm, but his kit is unique. If u think techies is in a class by himself thats just stupid. There are a ton of heroes with crazy highground defense. Techies concept is absolutely amazing and i hope we get more heroes that change the game.

On a side note, here's a list of things that some supports can do that other's can't:
AA: Ice Blast, negates Health Regen
Treant: A heal that heals Towers and buildings.
Bounty Hunter: Track give's bonus gold
Chen: Global Heal
Dazzle: Can prevent heroes from dropping to 0 HP.
---- Axe: Can certain kill heroes within HP threshold no matter what
IO: Damage resistance, heal via tether, can global gank with another hero and come back
Kotl: Can teleport anyone on the map back to kotl's location
Jakiro: Can slow the attack speed of towers with a spell with a 4 second cooldown.
Omniknight: Huge AOE Physical Damage immmunity, with scepter global AND effects buildings.
Oracle: Prevent's death via ultimate for 5 seconds and increases healing while under the ultimate's effect.
Phoenix: Huge fuck off Egg that you have to destroy to kill phoenix on the inside, otherwise skills refresh.
Techies: Places mines on the map you have to watch out for, but can be destroyed
WD: Malediction. Nuff said.
So, is it okay for all these heroes to be different but not techies?
