pro dota > good to put a shit ton on game
dota as a fun game and playin aside csgo and new games that come > waste of time to play a shit ton and tryhard
very simple really. if u can't earn money out of a skill, it's a waste of time and everything u put on it (unless u dont give a fuck about good life with money then it's cool)
Ya dude exactly.
very simple really. if u can't earn money out of a skill, it's a waste of time and everything u put on it (unless u dont give a fuck about good life with money then it's cool).
But , but , but --->>>>unless u dont give a fuck about good life with money -> This aint true for anyone in the world tbh.
some ppl actually dont give a fuck about money. they just wanna earn the smallest amount to be able to live the rest of the time they're in their own head. so basically most ppl who do this are poets, philosophers and other types like this
You could barely last an hour after making this thread before relapsing back to playing Dota.
@^-^ nobody got a bkb to completely shut down invoker ? must of been normal skill bracket.
The only truly meaningful post I've seen all year. And this includes posts I've made myself. Being good at Dota doesn't count for shit unless you're the 0.01% who actually made pro. Even 8k players like cancel and Attacker aren't in pro teams, just make enough of a living by streaming, which really isn't fulfilling if you dig a bit deeper into the lifestyle behind those people. It's best to leave it as a hobby.
if a person were fit to achieve anything in life they wouldnt ever have ran dota2.exe on their pc in the first place
Why TF r u judging if a streamers life is fulfilling that's personal choice/preference.
Why can't u play dota and achieve something. Wtf is stopping u from doing both. U will go nuts if u only work, it's super unfulfilling to have 0 recreation. Even if this is work towards a dream, if u have 0 fun ur life will be miserable. Dota is for fun unless u r a pro, but that doesn't mean u can't do dota and achieve the goals and dreams u want to. People get obsessed with this game a bit (me included) but remember it's a game.
I grinded to 5K by ONLY JUNGLE in SEA.
I had my best time in Dota while winning game solo 1v9 troll all my teammates and enemies.
I quitted Dota.
I am a success person and all of you suck my di.ck, even ywn- HAHAHAHAHAHA
i mean a person like singsing might be happy sittin on his ass making money by playing but the number of ppl who make good money out of streaming doesnt go further than number of fingers. there are 8ks and 7ks streaming who barely get viewed but by being 7k it means u put a shit ton on dota. so if u do make it to the pro scene u still gotta win the tourneys to get some $ if not u still are broke.
but if u just like having an ordinary job and payment but play a lot of dota in high tier still for fun or just a number, well whatever makes the man happy (legal ofc)
How many pro players are making a living by playing dota? I'm not talkin about about those who earn a little bit, but those which get enough to live well.

like the last of top 100 earned around 250k$ in his whole career. u can make the same amount of money with a normal job earning 3k$ a month in 7 years. most pros spent more than that on dota allstar and 2
now if u put the same amount of time finding smth else u like that can also make money for u and then start growing skillz on that one, u can earn x5 times. it's all a matter of prespective, that are you willing to sacrifice money for the pleasure of doing what u really like
its like any job that everyone wants because you get to 'do what you love', its extremely competitive and it usually only rewards the top 0.00001%.
look at acting, professional sports,
its balance between risk-reward obviously.
but good actors are millionairs most a dota2players has made was mid 2 million so the risk, u REALLY gotta LOVE the game
yea but the market for actors is much bigger. and also there's a lot more ppl competing with you for it. it's usually proportional.
you can earn a lot more in professional sports as well, but its probably a lot harder.
dota will eventually get to that point if it continues growing. if you like at how competitive the pro scene is now compared to a 3 years back, its obvious.

Just saying.
Once you achieve something great then come back to dota if you want.
God bless!
