playing ranked is hardly pleasant, I don't dare to see it as a leisure kind of thing
U prolly should just smurf and random heroes

Have had the same Issue recently.

I normaly play Pos 3 or 4, but while climbing I mainly played Pos 1. Not cus I am better then anyone else on carry, but in lower games you just know when you can do easy kills and such.

Never the less. I have trolled around some in Int.Ranked since I took a long break from Dota due to IRL stuff.
First off, I dont mind play pos 4/5 at all, I enjoy it as well. The problem here is that:

Pos 1: Want someone to babysit, Do stacking/pulling. Min 0:30-3;00 they then tell you to fuck off cus they want solo XP cus EZ lane (Wonder why?)

Pos 2: Want ganks mid but god forbid if you leech some XP meanwhile get into position before they initiate way to early.

Pos 3: Cries about getting harassed out of lane, want wards, want support, picked a non-sustainable offlaner etc.

3:01-6:01:

Pos1: Cant get farm cus no support/wards.

Pos2: Getting ganked Mid cus no support/wards.

Pos3: Went afk jungeling for the rest of the game cus no support/wards.

Problem here is that if you put out defensive wards, they still are on a timer, can get dewarded etc. And people just dont understand that you cant be in 3 places at the same time.

Then we have the Pos 4 situation where you try to comunicate with the Pos 5 but they just dont understand.

Litteraly. My best call is to get something that can have an impact across the full game and pray for your mid not to suck.

Babysit your Pos 1 no matter what and secure the early 10 min farm as good as you can. Then you rotate to mid. Just dont care what the others do. Make sure you secure some gold for yourself while you at the same time play very, very agressive on their offlaner. Once you have bullied him/her out of it, just camp their Bounty Rune, Your Bounty Rune and take your offlane rune as well if possible while you dive in mid every time you walk past - Get a CS if possible, and just harass their mid.

Once you have done that untill min 6-8 runes, you can in fact either say if it will be a long 45+ min game or a ez 30 min win. Either they give up cus thats what happens in the 3-4k bracket, or your team will be to bad to win / end up in a endless farm game.

There are legitimate complaints about how tough supporting is usually.

But usually bad supports deserve the flame. They may not be used to it and get forced into a role. You can see by how they are never ready to counter rotate don't carry tp. Or Farming safely when their cores are pushing on enemy side of the map.

There are not many supports I flamed but I notice I tend to get pissed with defensive supports who don't know how to play behind their carry when he is trying to get aggressive. Usually it's dazzles who are so passive and scared and never in fights for that crucial grave. Because I'm weak defensive support and I'll just feed so let's just afk and lose the game right?

There's also the obvious supports who never warded in their life and don't remember to put down that crucial sentry. There's so much more to support play but these are the simple things that if u can't get right, u get all the flame from your team. And it's deserved.

There is a clear difference between someone that knows how to support and picks it often vs someone that randoms a support or is forced to pick a support cuz last pick blah blah whatever. You might think ya i am supporting I am buying wards etc etc but guess what you are not really supporting. It is like someone randoming say tinker ya he got his bot at whatever mins but what is he doing with the bots he is tping to lanes where people are farming and marching it down or buying wrong items or doing something wrong. The game ends and everyone is blaming at the horrible tinker why cuz it is noticeable. There are tons of tiny things that supports are suppose to do that wins the game. But often it is not noticeable and forgotten but the impact it has on the game is just as important as say a tinker's.

I do the same thing. If my position 1 is autistic, I leave the lane.

i am also playing supports in your trash bracket (mine as well) and no one complains and by now i have almost 1k commends, so not sure if you are not doing smth wrong. Maybe OP has just to play party games? I mean get some kind of a team with real supports if cant stand playing the position

My role as a support consists of mechanically supporting my team (wards/ganks/stacks/etc) and emotionally supporting the team (encouragements/stopping fights/etc), if I fail to do one of them, I lost the game.

Supporting is fun, what are you guys taking about? You poke or club enemy offlaner, then smoke and cast spells on enemy mid, put cute little wards around and smoke from time to time. I enjoy supporting especially after playing micro heroes or heavy farmers.

OP just needs to find some teammates and then play his favourite position while being supported, he clearly does not want to support

I love supporting as you have more options and some control early game. If my core is garbage/being rude over the smallest things (they go hand in hand), I just leave them alone to suffer and help someone that is cooperating and/or not being an asshat and has an idea as to what is going on.

But I play any role, just depends on my mood.

it's frustrating to support bad core players.
