On a serious note, I'm not really sure. I suppose the general idea is to use his ult on the hardest right clicker (or maybe even just the best basic disables) and use their abilities against the enemy. Other than that, people may just go with the basic shotgun morph / long stun strength morph.
With no mana cost on ability known as morph(before the update) , and getting a stun and a nuke seperated, I think some offlane utility morphling was expected. I think we should wait too see how new meta works for this hero. Vega squadron picked it as a carry, yet to see more.
because a second adaptive strike is here, it fucked up my hotkeys with another ability and now i morph like a retard
For carry morph, you leave the ult alone and level up your other skills.
You will hardly have mana for the ult early game unless you buy an Arcane boots.
Just wait for him to be reworked or wait till the pros play more of him and realise what can this rework morph actually do in DotA 2. If u are confused don't ever play him in ranked and ruin others games. Maybe try him in turbo mode if you want to try a new item build.
You almost only want to use your ult on support, to get their gazillion disable; Almost no carry have stats that make them good target for dps purpose -most of them still have good utility for you, a stun, a blink or a transformation. (remember than morph has better bat, and MUCH BETTER stat growth than almost all hero).
The only hero you'd wants to copy all the time (even over all support) is tb. Since sunder is his weakest spell, and also due to the fact that metamorphosis remain after you unmorph -and op reflection ^^-
