Whoa, even if you are ganked a lot, 3 points in Shift is more than enough early game, max Wave is priority for farm and kills.
AND DO NOT EVEN INVEST A POINT IN ULT It's a wasted skill.
About E-blade, yes, it is a very good item that game, you can ghost your teammate that is jumped by Sven and you can nuke Jak and Disruptor.
tordelinis guides arent even good
you should only use them if you dont have any idea how to play the hero whatsoever.
You can also always put one point in adaptive for early tp cancels, or that 150-200 magic damage early on.
u can go linkens and lance after boots(for the stats). E-Blade would have been nice to kill Sven/prevent that he kills somebody. But always remember if u have no BKB vs Disruptor etc.(silence in general) u r an ez target.
Most silence can be countered with manta though. Hex, or sustained silences are a different thing, BKB is the right call then.
^I agree with the playstyle of morphing changed from split pusher to team fighter a bkb is core on him vs magical heros and an ethereal blade should be completed after ur core items for damage output and survival.
Bkb is only core against certain silences or against shit like od
otherwise not needed
Don't follow torte de linis guides to the bone, it's just an outline
I mean the guy still has skadi as a situational item on ursa
Thanks guys really appreciate the help! Is a point in ult really a waste? Should i be getting it at 10 instead?
The ult is trash, you can have 3 skill points left at lvl25 without taking the ult and you won't lose one bit of efficiency
Anyone who thinks the ult is rubbish should play a bunch of ability draft games.
There are loads of insane plays and interactions it can do.
for me... the ult is the best part of the hero now. its just really fun.
and e-blade + adaptive strike
The ult is good against heros who have good skill set like silences or stuns or good passives, its very siuational now. Hence most ppl hate it.

turn into lifestealer -> rage -> turn back
?
thereslike 50 heroes that u want to ult really badly because they have repel alacrity batttery assault empower bloodlust stuns etc
u have 300 mrp games too thats cringy
Ever since stats got removed as a "skill", there's no such thing as wasting skill points. That mentality was iffy back then anyway.
u want to skip it at lvl 6
but u do want a value point in it at some point, probably after stat shift and waveform are maxed
there r some things u can do against some heroes like above mentioned rage and other things like with bloodlust or tombstone or howl or a good disable, bloodrage, tree grab, strafe, rabid, etc.
Yeah, skipping a meh or mana-intensive level 1 ult to invest more points in another skill is legit, but that wasn't what I was talking about.
The problem with getting it at level 6, that thanks to its cooldown, you will probably have one chance to make use of it anyways in the laning phase.
It's good for some occasional plays, but that's it until you're 18. And then again, you'll probably be more vulnerable transformed than at any other given time, so there's that downside too.
Yeah, but they can still catch you off guard during that time, even if that doesn't happen as often, I'd need two hand to count how many times I've seen top ranked players die because they got a quick disable in the short time they transformed to cast skills.
You definitely get ult at lvl 6 just because you get a lot of outplay potential from it, especially if the enemy has some good skills.
If you think his ult is garbage you're probably just bad at morphling.
If I'm mid I like to go
aquila -> treads -> pers -> linkens -> eblade -> etc
If I'm safe I just go
brown boots -> (aquila maybe) -> pers -> link -> treads -> eblade -> etc
Obviously there are some games where eblade isn't as good but tbh I've only had that kind of game once.
There is literally no reason to lose as morphling if you're playing in a 3k avg game unless you yourself threw horribly.
Started first picking morph and am 7-2 seemsgood.
if ur not against stuns u can use the other life as a "shield" and turn back when ur low
against good players this will result in feeding sadly
every time i play this morph 1v1 mid invoker i just wave into him at 6 and alacrity + snap + turn back and he dies LMAO
That's a good play, but then you have to wait 3 minutes before you can do that again, so it won't happen very often...
Yeah but its not like your missing out on a lot with your ulti on cd, considering you basically play like the spell doesnt exist 90% of the time anyway
True. Not meaning there are no matchups where it's good to level it, it's just that usually your game plan won't include utilizing your ulti early on anyways.
There's still little more satisfying feelings than hooking back an escaping butcher for example.
If the invoker is bad at positioning you don't even wait until lvl 6 just get lvl 2 and then wait until he walks past the middle of the river, then waveform and click him until he dies.
If you're lvl 3 you can get away with diving the tower too.
I dont even get to play Morph carry that often on VHS games
Dont blame me for not picking a hard carry when I have 300 GPM stats and everyone's a carry player
Op i been spamming morpling .I buy ebalde when there is sven or some ez targets like drow or zeus for 1 shotting.
Tried out E-blade. Did pretty good. Accidentally leveled up wrong abilities though. Thanks for all the help guys. https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/3616984921

Hey guys just lost a game as morphling which i think was due to me not outputting enough damage. I feel like I should have gone e-blade instead but have just been sticking to the standard, main man torts de lini guide. Would e-blade have made a difference? Thank-you for your time.
