It's based on hidden mmr. So you're between both brackets. Just get a bunch of wins in and you should steadily be at vhs. But you can always drop down, it never "locks".
solo and grou mmr are also different, they maybe your friends drag the mmr down when you team up (like you are 4k and a mate is 1k, avg mmr is 2,5k)

when does skill bracket "lock" you to where you belong? I'm really confused because my past games has been a mix of continuous hs and vhs games (ns games were party games) Thank u guys
