nah, 2 1 2 isnt whats happening. people pick flexible pos 4s that can roam between mid and offlane, while they pick strong laners in the safelane (troll, LS etc) so they dont need help from pos 4.
Offlane got so hard (cant even pull the creepwave anymore), that you basically have to help your offlaner, so he rotatoes between mid and offlane.
Its certainly effective in anything below 5k because people start to tilt when their safelaner has even just a bit of a hard start.

I want to talk about what the meta is heading towards. it seems that dual offlane is gaining popularity. We ran it in Battle Cup tier 6 with HUGE Success.
Combinations like Ogre + Abaddon, Venge + DK, ET + Weaver seem to be pretty strong. Are we moving away from Solo Offlane?
