I want to upgrade my PC, Im thinking of upgarding part by part which one should i prioritise? I dont need GPU for now as i only play on low setting anyway.

what do you have? what do you wanna do with it? if its for dota, no upgrades needed. buy 500$ notebook from discounter and youre good

Well if your motherboard isn't too old then it has to be a GPU or CPU if you want immediate results in gaming and basic computing. If you're not planning on getting a new motherboard, then just get a new graphics card, your current CPU might bottle neck it for awhile until you get a new one, but at least you'll be playing Dota on max settings.

I understand some pro players play on low settings cause of " input and display lag " but on Dota it isn't even an issue, only FPS and maybe fighting games, and even then games like CSGO are fine on medium settings.

Dude we need to know exactly what u have to help u and not ure cpu cores or clock and ure gpus ram won't help a bit

          Hatsune Miku

Sorry i was away, but here it is:

            CPU: i3 4170 3.7Ghz
            GPU: Geforce GTX 960
            Mobo: Asus B85M - D
            Ram: 2x4GB kingston something

Should be able to play smooth medium setting PUBG other than that its all cool.

            Potato PC

              SSD is top-priority.

              Sand1

                Get Ryzen 2200/2400G

                ねずみ

                  Buy GAMING parts

                  PrizmIzOld

                    ^^
This dude is right. SSD my man is your first must buy item.

IDK if you only use your PC for gaming but SSD gives a solid perfomance boost to your OS overall. It's great for personal productivity. I still remember the day when I switched my HHD to SSD. I was impressed.

There's one important thigh tho. If you are like me a software developer(may be you want to learn or w/e) or you browse a lot and watch a lot of videos on the web I'd suggest you get RAM first and then SSD. I had some problems like spikes when I was watching youtube videos with 8gb of RAM. Also my compile times weren't that great. RAM helped a lot. 16gb is plenty.

If you dont need a new GPU I would suggest this upgrade.

                    1) SSD
                    2) RAM
                    3) 144Hz display
                    4) Good mouse
                    5) Good headphones
                    6) Motherboard + CPU (+reupgrade RAM)
                    7) Good keyboard

                    ---
Your CPU choice should be i7-4790K since its the best option for your LGA 1150 socket.

This is my RAM recommendation. Not super pricey but fast and good.

This is my 144Hz display. Good price for 144Hz.

Wtf man u should be able to play at max setting for dota all fine 😂
1.SSD is great but won't give u more fps
                      2. Don't change ure RAM u don't need more with that gpu and cpu
If ure fine with ure gpu for now with is decent enough u need to change cpu motherboard and ram yes all 3 together or non at all it's probably worth more than getting an 4th gen i7(there is 8th gen there afterall)
I also recommend AMD ryzen 2nd gen
3.a good monitor is really important too just don't over done it if u aren't going for sth above 1050

thanks, i guess i dont need to really upgrade other than adding ssd and getting a better monitor but Ill increase my ram though. thanks again guys,

                        low prio master

I3 is bad for any games, get i5,i7 or some new Ryzen (pretty good now)

                          Ave with an internet pfp

Pubg isnt' the cpu instance game like BF1 or COD II , if you aim is pubg , you better get GPU first .
