People have overused "kys" to the point it literally has no meaning anymore. It no longer means kill y0urself. It is a shitpost, just like posting just "k" or a twitch emote.

Actually, becoming callous to speak like this is probably helpful in the long run. A lot of people say a lot of mean things, and if you accept it really doesn't mean anything, you're probably better for it.
