Lmao you used a third party site given to you by a random guy who just randomly wanted to do a battle cup with you??? How gullible are you?!
no this guy was a friend of mine. he asked me to check my email and send him verifcation codes. only now do i realize that they were password change requests
He wasnt rly a friend though was he... You probably added him and never talked to him. Someone tried to do this to me a few weeks ago and the fact that he never even played dota with me was a bit of a red flag and it should have been for you
yes. it was stupid of me. the question is, can i recover it? All i have is my email that i had on the account before he hacked it and i know for sure it's not hacked, and also some steam gift card codes i used to buy some skins. That's really it. Heply please? i already have done contactdd setam support but i don't know when they will reply.
If you have made in-game purchases you can probably verify that it is indeed your account by providing steam support some information regarding the payment methods and information. Basically yes you can probably get your account back if you can provide enough information to support to verify that it is indeed your account.
Open a support ticket with steam. They wont give you back anything which was stolen from you but they should give your account back.
Actually ignore me. Just sign into your account and act like you forgot your password, you should get a password reset email.
Then open the support ticket like I said. You are probably never getting the account back though I hate to say it. Steam very much have a ‘if its stolen its your fault for being stupid’ attitude. I was scammed out of a couple items a few months ago and I never got them back.
thats fucking stupid
what if i give very clear proof that the account used to be mine and its very clear that from the match history i suddenly went from us west to southeast asia in less than 2 hours. i dont think theres a plane in the world that flies as fast and i can say for sure that there was no transaction.
Because that information is worthless. Anyone who normally plays in USW can easily just queue in SEA by selecting it in their region settings.
So no match history will not help you. Just wait for steam to contact you and tell you how they want you to go about this situation.
Open a support ticket, from experience it'll take them a while to respond, about a month and a half for me, but nonetheless if you provide account transactions to prove it's your account they'll restore most of your items, barring arcana's and most immortal's (there is a reason for this can't remember why).
Write to steam support, you can recover it if you have the original email, phone, transations easiliy.
When logging into steam just put forgot password and follow the instructions.
Submit a steam support ticket. Easy.
You can get your account and your items.
When PW is changed, there is a cool down on the trading.
So do it asap.
