The secret to climbing mmr is to quit playing the game on auto-pilot.
Think and keep thinking throughout the game. Sound easy, but is very hard to apply.

I'm Archon 4 (2.8 I think, 7500 behaviour score), and in May I bought a Legend 3 account for like 10$, 10000 behaviour score.
I think I played 20-ish games. What I noticed:
- the jump from 7.5k to 10k behaviour score makes literallly 0 difference. In my first 2 games I had people rage buyback or deny items before min 5.
(both of them were not in my lane, so no, that was not because of my bad play lmao). Sometimes people seem to use their brain, some games I have people that even at 2.8 I would consider very low skilled and just too dumb for the game.
-Overall the gameplay didnt change much. Still need to beg my team to go hit rosh after we won a teamfight. Now maybe 1/10 they listen instead of diving the fountain and dying to buybacks. I only really notice a change when I'm the lowest MMR and theres a group with some ancient in it.
-people now sometimes noticeably pick meta heros (medusa, puck, AA, WW). But equally they sometimes also pick like complete clowns (highlight is an ancient 1 picking Ursa into treant, bane and puck)
-I've won like 12 games out of the 20, just by picking meta cores, turning my brain on and looking at the minimap a lot.
Overall I don't think its worth it. The only way you get better gameplay is when you buy an acc thats like 1k mmr higher than yours, but then the "problem" switches from your teammates to you. Now you're the dog that plays like a braindead compared to your teammates.
