dominators stats are similar to vlads, it's just that vlads is an aura so it helps your team, while dominator's advantage is that it builds into satanic, making it better late game, and the ability to stack camps with a controlled creep.
although you could dominate a wolf or wildwing and you'd either have a damage or armour aura, so there's that.
if you go dominator and basi then you pay more gold for better late game, you've got lifesteal and mana regen just like vlads, so I can see why people would go dominator over vlads, since your team can get vlads for you.

Battlefury is not just for farm. For a heavy hitter like PA it's pretty damn good in a fight. It's like making her into a mini sven. Plus the regen from perseverance means you don't need vlads or dominator as a first item to sustain in lane, fixes your mana and hp issues.
I was recently watching artezy play pa, and he was losing rlly hard they lost all rax and shit like that, then he bought mask of madnes and won lmao. so many crits with that attack speed.

there are other upsides to making HoD over vlads(aside from stacking), it lets you solo rosh super easy with the Alfa wolf, tomato, blue ogre, or small goblin healer. you can also grab any big creep and use it to last hit in lane, while you farm the jungle. vlads still might be the better choice if your not making Battle furry, since the RoB will give you the mana you need to spam dagger every time its off cool down in lane.
I don't get why everyone is saying that PA is a bad pick for low level pubs, if you player her right you can get 45-55 cs in the first 10 min with out ever going any where near the creep wave, I use her to solo the off lane more often then I play her safe lane or mid, she just doesn't need supports in lane as much as other carrys. if you are worried about being ganked just buy a set of wards your self they don't cost much.

you should be able to control lanes, farm freely (via map awareness) and so on, nobody knows how to shut heros down at that level. pick morphling and if u cant win games with ihm ur the problem

but if u rly hate Medusa, i cant do much about it, but Void seems to be also self-dependant, and you can use him if your teammates are fighting for midane. Many Void lovers can help u in that regard.

void doesnt need any support actually, if ur not complete garbage you will find ur farm
Stop that hate on dominator, you can use creep to gang, or last hit, while you kill neutrals, and especially now that it give 250 hp bonus to the neutrals, there's no longer excuse about the aura creep going to die during the fight, and a wolf, or an ursa, or even a speed kobolt are freaking great aura.
You can also want to take a scout harpy (~1400 night vision) or a frost ogre (+8armor and slow !!!)

She actually is great in low level pubs cus they will not rush mkb as often or counter pick you with disablers like lion/ss for hex. they don't pick her counters as much and you might snowball. I'm just addressing the guy's specific problem when he says I have no support.

I go HoD for the jungling or ancient stacking with creeps, and late game satanic. If Vlads could be sold, I would consider it.
Don't pick carries that can't lane without supports then. Try carrying from the midlane. It is way easier this patch because of double rune.
